1. Acceptance of Terms
By creating an account or using FamilyForge (“the Service”), operated by FamilyForge LLC (“FamilyForge,” “we,” “our,” “us”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”) and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.
2. Description of Service
FamilyForge LLC provides a family organization application that helps families manage daily routines, chores, calendars, meal planning, shopping lists, and more. The Service is provided on a subscription basis via web, iOS, and Android platforms.
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. By using the Service, you represent that you are at least 18 years of age and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.
4. Account Registration
- You must provide a valid email address to create an account.
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
- You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
- One parent or guardian serves as the account holder and manages the family account.
- You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.
5. Subscription and Billing
- FamilyForge offers a 14-day free trial. No credit card is required to start.
- After the trial period, a paid subscription of $5.00 USD per month is required to continue using the Service.
- Subscriptions are billed monthly and renew automatically unless canceled.
- Payment is processed through our payment provider, Paddle. By subscribing, you also agree to Paddle’s terms of service.
- Prices are subject to change with 30 days’ notice.
6. Free Trial
- New users receive a 14-day free trial with full access to all features.
- No payment information is required during the trial.
- At the end of the trial, you will be prompted to subscribe. If you choose not to subscribe, your access to the Service will be restricted.
- Trial accounts that do not convert to paid subscriptions may have their data retained for 90 days before deletion.
7. Cancellation
- You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings or billing portal.
- Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
- You will retain access to the Service until the end of your paid period.

8. Family Data and Children’s Privacy
- FamilyForge is designed for use by families, including children.
- Children do not create their own accounts — they are managed by a parent or guardian.
- No personal data is collected directly from children under 13.
- The parent or guardian is responsible for all information entered about family members.
- All family data is private and accessible only to authenticated members of the family.
9. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
- Attempt to access other families’ data
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or tamper with the Service
- Use automated systems or bots to access the Service
- Upload malicious content, viruses, or harmful code
- Resell or redistribute the Service without authorization
- Harass, abuse, or harm other users
10. Intellectual Property
- The Service, including its design, code, content, and branding, is owned by FamilyForge and protected by copyright and intellectual property laws.
- You retain ownership of all content you create within the Service (routines, chores, meal plans, etc.).
- By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to store and display your content solely for the purpose of providing the Service.
11. Data Storage and Security
- Data is stored securely via Supabase, hosted on AWS infrastructure.
- Authentication tokens are stored in device secure storage.
- All data in transit is encrypted using TLS.
- We implement row-level security to isolate family data.
- While we take reasonable measures to protect your data, no system is 100% secure.
12. Service Availability
- We strive to maintain 99.9% uptime but do not guarantee uninterrupted access.
- We may perform scheduled maintenance with advance notice when possible.
- We are not liable for disruptions caused by third-party services, internet outages, or force majeure events.
13. Modifications to the Service
- We may update, modify, or discontinue features of the Service at any time.
- Material changes will be communicated via in-app notices or email.
- Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.
14. Changes to Terms
- We may update these Terms from time to time.
- You will be notified in-app when Terms change.
- Continued use of the Service after notification constitutes acceptance.
- If you do not agree to updated Terms, you should discontinue use and cancel your subscription.
15. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, FAMILYFORGE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR:
- Any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages
- Loss of data, profits, or business opportunities
- Service interruptions or errors
- Actions taken based on content within the Service
OUR TOTAL LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR THE SERVICE IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.
16. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless FamilyForge LLC, its officers, employees, and affiliates from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the Service or violation of these Terms.
17. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Texas, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.
18. Dispute Resolution
Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service shall first be attempted to be resolved through good-faith negotiation. If negotiation fails, disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association.
19. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
